North Shore Bank Chief Executive Officer, Kevin M. Tierney, Sr., recently met with representatives from our Foundation to present us with a $25,000 contribution to our Mental Wellness Initiative. This initiative provides reading materials, motivational speakers, and other resources to help Peabody schools deal with the mental health issues that have escalated due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr. Tierney said of the Mental Wellness initiative:
“We recognize that even children experience depression and anxiety, and we’re committed to strengthening mental health resources for our students, our schools, and our community. The Mental Wellness Initiative services facilitated by the Peabody Education Foundation are essential in promoting the health, safety, and wellness for all of the children in Peabody, both physically and emotionally.” He added, “We’re pleased to be teaming up with the Peabody Education Foundation to raise critical funds for mental health advocacy, services, and support.”
David Gravel, President and Chairman of the Peabody Education Foundation said of the bank’s contribution:
“Community support is the lifeblood of our mission, and North Shore Bank has consistently shown their support for the PEF. With this generous donation, North Shore Bank will help us create a positive impact in the lives of our students and empower them to succeed as future leaders and community members. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to North Shore Bank for standing alongside us as we strive to inspire our students through educational and creative programs.”
We would like to take a moment to express our gratitude to North Shore Bank for their continued support of our Mental Wellness Initiative. Their generosity is a shining example of how businesses can make a real difference in our society, and we are deeply thankful for their partnership in this endeavor.
