February 27 will mark the 3rd Annual Higgins Spelling Bee at the Northshore Mall. Join the Peabody Education Foundation as we cheer on the top spellers from grades 6, 7, and 8! The Bee will start at 7:00 p.m. outside of Burtons Grill (Nordstrom’s wing, Northshore Mall).
Two students from each of the 15 Higgins clusters will compete in the final Bee. These students already proved their superior spelling skills by winning in the preliminary rounds against their peers earlier this year. The students practice after school each week in preparation of the Bee. The Spelling Bee and all of the additional practice sessions are coordinated by PEF member Sudi Smoller, who is the media specialist of the Cullen Memorial Library at the Higgins.
